  Itwas nice and sunny when the boys hit Sinsheimer Pool for the San Luis Obispo High Diving Invitational on Saturday.

  But by the time Atascadero junior Elizabeth Foran and the rest of the girls field toed the diving platform, the clouds had rolled in, making the breeze feel even colder. It also made the 3-meter high dive even more frightening.

  Three meters is less than a couple of inches short of 10 feet, but when you're only 5-feet tall, it's daunting.

  "Three-meter's kind of scary and it hurts when you smack," said Foran, The Tribune's Prep Athlete of the Week after winning the invitational, "so going for dives are even harder up there."
