Philadelphia's  Maureece Rice  is entering the NBA draft, but he is keeping his options open.

 Rice, a junior guard at George Washington, made himself available for the draft yesterday. However, he has not hired an agent and has until June 18 to withdraw his name if he chooses. The NBA draft is June 28.

 Rice set the Philadelphia high school scoring record at Strawberry Mansion. He scored 2,681 points in his career to surpass  Wilt Chamberlain's  record.

 Rice led the Colonials in scoring this season, averaging 15.8 points per game.

 University of Texas regents approved a $200,000 raise for men's basketball coach  Rick Barnes , boosting his salary to $2 million per year.
