News LA Times Festival of Books Adds Organic Food to the Mix

LOS ANGELES-(Business Wire)-April 26, 2007 - More than 100,000 bibliophiles will descend upon the UCLA campus this weekend to listen to lectures, browse piles of books and enjoy the company of fellow fans of the written word. And while literary achievements are the main draw at the 12th annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, it is only natural that festival-goers will want to nourish their bodies as well as their minds. Fortunately, Organic To Go (OTC:SPHG), the first fast casual cafe to be certified as an organic retailer, is on campus to meet the need for a delicious lunch - quick and easy.

Organic To Go is already available during the school week at three locations on the UCLA campus and one location at the UCLA Medical Center Cafeteria, and the company will set up two festival locations in the food courts to serve the hungry readers at the always popular Festival of Books. Health-minded and hungry festival goers can enjoy O To Go favorites such as the scrumptious Mediterranean Tomato & Mozzarella sandwich, consisting of smoked mozzarella cheese, organic sun-dried tomatoes, fresh organic spinach and red onion with pesto and olive tapenade served on local artisan bread; or the refreshing Cantonese Chicken Salad, prepared with grilled natural chicken breast, organic almonds and mango relish atop fresh organic greens with a zesty sesame ginger dressing.

"We are proud of our relationship with the ASUCLA foodservice team and The Festival of Books, and had a great time at this event last year, selling out by the middle of the second day" said Jason Brown, founder and CEO of Organic To Go. "The ASUCLA foodservice team is innovative and has been responsive to student and faculty requests for organic options. This is a perfect spot for us to serve people who care about what they eat and would like organic options, but are probably too busy to pack a lunch."

Organic requests on campus are a growing need. O To Go food is available at multiple locations at UCLA, as well as seven other university locations in both California and Washington, including the University of Washington, University of Southern California, California State University at Long Beach, California State University at Pomona, California State University at Fullerton, California State University at Northridge and California Technical Institute.

O To Go is a perfect choice for nourishment for fast-moving, socially- and health-conscious college students and faculty. The company sources fresh, local and sustainable ingredients, is committed to organic farmers, ranchers and producers and buys only organic or naturally raised meat, without synthetic antibiotics and growth hormones. A company with an environmental conscience, O To Go uses 100 percent biodegradable bags for its bagged lunches, and many of its containers are made from corn-based PLA "plastics."

Since its inception in 2004, O To Go has been gaining popularity by successfully riding the two booming trends in the food industry: natural and organic products and take-out food. O To Go's food is available in regional office parks, university campuses and airports, allowing fast, healthy meals to be on nearly every corner.

In addition to offering sandwiches and salads, O To Go supplies catered hot entree buffets with selections such as hearty Italian pastas, flavorful Mexican cuisine, tangy Asian stir-fries and irresistible desserts. With 13 cafes plus numerous college and corporate campus locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and Seattle, O To Go is quickly becoming a household name.
